Hints & tips to apply successfully!

"Show yourself for who you are, we want to learn to appreciate you."

"What I expect most in all applications I review, is for the candidate to be honest about themselves. Do not try and second guess what should be in the answer, just be honest and up front. The application and selection procedure is all about getting an idea about who you are as a person and what your aspirations are. Write and talk about what your interests are, and how they affect your life. In addition to telling us about yourself, passion is often an important part of determining success. Rather than providing a long list of everything you can think of that might be important, focus on some facets and expand on them. Also, don’t forget to convey that you have thoroughly thought about what you want to do later and why, and how your plans fit with the programme you are applying for."
Rickie Moore, Director of the Global Entrepreneurship Program

Here’s how Sylvain Brochard (France) showed this in his application.

"I would say that I made the most difficult decision in my life just few weeks ago. Indeed I decided to quit roller-hockey to be able to follow my studies. Playing roller-hockey has been my dream during the last 15 years, and I have had the chance to play in the best teams and for the French national team as well. It has been really hard to take this decision because I was supposed to play a world cup at the end of the season. However, I have got other plans today, professional ones with a long term view, and getting in the Global Entrepreneurship Program is the beginning. I have learnt a lot thanks to my sport during all this years but I think it is time to change. It took me a long time to take this decision but now that I have made it, I will do the best I can to reach the same level in work than the one I did reach in sport."
